Valeriya is a lawyer specialising in international arbitration and representing clients in foreign public courts. She has experience in arbitration proceedings conducted under the LCIA and ICC rules, as well as coordinating legal proceedings across various jurisdictions, including the UK, Germany, and other countries. Valeria also deals with the registration of inheritances abroad.

Some of her key highlights include: 

• Representing a client before an international court regarding the nationalisation of assets in a foreign state.
• Advising Russian clients on potential investment arbitration disputes related to asset expropriation in Europe and the CIS.
• Advising a major airline in connection with a breach of insurance contracts.

Valeriya was also a mentee in the Russian Women in Arbitration Programme 2022-2023.

Valeriya earned her Bachelor of Laws from the Russian State University of Justice with the Russian Supreme Court and her Master’s in International Trade, Bachelor of Laws from University of London (LL.B), and Finance and Economic Integration Law from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, where she is currently pursuing her PhD.

She is fluent in English and speaks a little French.
