The 2nd Youth Legal Forum organized by the Association of Lawyers of Russia closed today in St Petersburg. EPAM Law acted as a sponsor of the event which took place under the aegis of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.
Today Moscow hosted a seminar for criminal judges on the European Convention of Human Rights organized by the Council of Europe with assistance from the Russian Academy of Justice.
Today the results of a legal proficiency contest held annually by the St Petersburg Bar Association were announced.

Today Moscow hosted the International Training Conference “Russian Contract Law: A Course towards Modernization”, which was organised by The Contract Law Center of the Law Department at Lomonosov Moscow State University. EPAM provided organizational and financial support for the event.
In Moscow the Russian Ministry for Natural Resources and Ecology hosted a conference, organized by The Guild of Managers and Developers, entitled Environmental Friendliness and Energy Efficiency in Real Estate. Elena Pristanskova, Attorney at EPAM, attended the event.
The First National Congress of Russian Aviation Lawyers was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the first Russian Assembly of Aeronauts and took place in Moscow on 26th April 2011 with support from the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation). Andrey Porfiriev, Senior Lawyer at EPAM, spoke at the congress.
The Russian IPO Forum 2011 organized by Mergers & Acquisitions magazine took place in Moscow on 26th April. Vyacheslav Yugay, Lawyer at EPAM, delivered a report on “ADRs: the US Law Requirements and Implications for Russian Issuers”.
Today Moscow hosted the Corporate Transactions: Current Legal and Practical Issues seminar organized by M-Logos law institute. Maxim Mozgov, Attorney-At-Law at EPAM, and Maxim Rasputin, the Firm’s Lawyer, spoke at the seminar.
On 13-14 April 2011, Moscow hosted the VII Russia’s Legal Forum organized by the Vedomosti newspaper. As in previous years, EPAM acted as a strategic partner of the event. Dmitry Afanasiev, the Chairman, and partners Dmitry Stepanov and Grigory Chernyshov participated in the Forum.
April 2011, Moscow – EPAM became the winner of the first personnel management programs competition held by the Legal Insight magazine in the Professional Growth category. The award ceremony was conducted during the VII Russia’s Legal Forum organized by the Vedomosti newspaper.
April 12, 2011 – Ivan Smirnov is appointed as a partner of the Moscow Office at EPAM. A recognized expert in the resolution of disputes involving public authorities, Ivan will lead the firm’s regulatory department.
Moscow – Hague, 1 April 2011. The International Court of Justice in The Hague has dismissed the application filed by Georgia against Russia in a dispute regarding racial discrimination. Russian Federation was represented by Russian diplomats Kirill Gevorgian and Roman Kolodkin international law counsel Alain Pellet, Samuel Wordsworth and Andreas Zimmermann, and the Legal Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and EPAM.
On April 1-2, 2011 lawyers of EPAM took part in the Xth International Conference of Young Scientists “Traditions and Innovations in Russia's Modern Legal System”, organized with support from the Rector's Office at the Young Scientists Council and the Student Scientific Society of the Moscow State Law Academy, named after O.E. Kutafin.
On April 1-2 Kursk hosted the first investment and legal forum titled Fields of Russia. The event was organized by LegalStudies.RU and a number of professional associations of lawyers and entrepreneurs. Ekaterina Medeyko, an attorney-at-law and a senior lawyer at EPAM, delivered a report at the Forum.
