On 19 November 2024, Vladimir Talanov, a Partner at EPAM Law, was elected to the Board of the Russian Arbitration Association (RAA) for the 2024–2028 term. The election took place during the General Meeting of the RAA in Moscow.
Vladimir is a highly regarded expert in international arbitration and litigation, with a focus on complex cross-border disputes. His expertise covers international trade law, foreign investments, and matters related to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). He has extensive experience in arbitration under various rules, including those of the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, SCC, and ICAC. Additionally, Vladimir has coordinated legal proceedings in courts across multiple jurisdictions, including Russia, the United States, the European Union, Turkey, India, Singapore, Serbia, and England and Wales.
The Russian Arbitration Association, established in April 2013, is dedicated to promoting the development of arbitration courts and international commercial arbitration in Russia and other CIS countries. The association also aims to raise the international profile of Russian arbitrators and to enhance the expertise of Russian lawyers in alternative dispute resolution.
