The main session of 25-th Annual Course on International Law Librarianship “The New Russia: Law and Legal Information” will take place in St. Petersburg on September, 10-14. In addition to the conference in St Petersburg, there will be an optional extra programme in Moscow on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th September.
Courses on International Law Librarianship are held annually all over the world. This year the conference will take place in Russia for the first time.
Founded in 1959, the International Association of Law Libraries (IALL) now has over 600 members in more than 50 countries on five continents. The members represent all types of legal collections ranging from academic law libraries of all sizes to corporate libraries, and from national and parliamentary libraries to administrative agency and court libraries.
The Conference is held with the participation of Russian Law Librarianship, Law Faculty of the St.Petersburg State University, Independent not-for-profit organization «Jurists for constitutional rights and freedoms”. “EPAM” sponsors 25-th Annual Course on International Law Librarianship in Russia, 2006.
The conference will teach “preservers of knowledge” from all over the world Russian system of law. Law Faculties of the St.Petersburg State University and Velikiy Novgorod. State University were chosen for acquaintance with law school.
