This year the Annual IBA Conference took place on 14-19 October in Singapore. EPAM was represented by Mr. Ilya Nikiforov, Managing Partner of the St. Petersburg Office, and Ms. Maria Miroshnikova, Senior Lawyer of the Moscow Office.

Approximately four thousand lawyers and attorneys from all over the world have attended this year’s IBAconference. The event was a perfect opportunity for them to establish new contacts and to learn about the latest trends in international law enforcement.

Mr. Nikiforov, who was elected Legal Practice Division Arbitration Committee Secretary at last year’s conference, spoke this year on the topic of “Art of Advocacy and Oral Submissions”. His report was delivered together with Dr. Colin Y.C. Ong at the “The Art of Advocacy in Arbitration” session.

Ms. Maria Miroshnikova participated in discussions on the “Recent Developments in M&A Law” and spoke about M&A in Russia, with particular focus on the latest trends, the nature of transactions, various aspects of antitrust legislation, acquisition rules and related government policy.
