Dmitry Lavrov, a senior lawyer of EPAM to head Property Management Department at Gazprom
Dmitry G. Lavrov was born on October 6, 1973. In 1995 graduated with honors from the Saint-Petersburg State University Law School. In 1995-1999 was a graduate student at the Civil Law department at Saint-Petersburg State. In June 2000 successfully completed Ph.D. thesis titled “Monetary obligations in Russian civil law”.
During 1997-2004 Dmitry Lavrov taught the Civil Law department at Saint-Petersburg State Law School. In March 2004 joined EPAM as senior lawyer, where Dmitry acted on complex corporate transactions including foreign trade matters, was responsible for government relations and contributed to preparatory work for Russian companies’ IPOs. A member of the public council at the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service and of the expert council on legislation and fair competition at the Russian State Duma, in the firm Dmitry Lavrov was also responsible for antimonopoly regulation and as the firm’s expert participated in the drafting of a new federal law “On protection of competition”. As the expert of EPAM he was also part of the working group that developed the concept for a bill regulating the participation of foreign investors in the capital of Russian strategic enterprises. Starting fall 2006 Dmitry Lavrov is also a part-time associate professor of the Civil Law department at Higher School of Economics.
Dmitry Lavrov authored a number of scientific studies in the area of civil law, including co-authorship of the commentary to the Civil Code of RF and co-authorship of popular legal textbooks and manuals.
