EPAM provided comprehensive legal support on the Russian legal aspects of a cross-border M&A transaction between TAQA, the National Energy Company of Abu Dhabi (UAE), and Tendeka, the leading British engineering company present in the US, the UK, China, Australia, Canada, the UAE, Malaysia and the EU.
The project included conducting due diligence focused on issues in the areas of administrative, corporate, labour law, as well as on safety, health, and environmental protection matters; moreover, EPAM team advised on antitrust requirements of the transaction.
According to the Chairman of the Board of TAQA Ahmed Musa Al-Zahrani, the acquisition of Tendeka contributes not only to completing the portfolio of the Abu Dhabi energy company, but also enhances its own high-tech production services for working with wells, in addition to expanding the company's presence in the global market.
