Vladimir Talanov speaks at the Russian Federation Business Day and the Belarus Business Day conferences during the MSV 2012 International Engineering Fair

On 10–14 September 2012, Brno (the Czech Republic) hosted the 54th International Engineering Fair, MSV 2012. The Fair is Central and Eastern Europe’s largest exhibition of products and technologies for this industry. Vladimir Talanov addressed guests of the Fair as part of its business programme.

During the Russian Federation Business Day conference on 11 September 2012, Vladimir Talanov, an advocate with EPAM, delivered a presentation on new opportunities for exporting products to Russia following WTO accession and removing hurdles that limit trade with the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. He also provided an outlook for the medium-term future of the Russian Federation’s export policies.

During the Belarus Business Day conference on 12 September, Vladimir spoke on the topic of exports to Belarus, which, although it is not a member of the WTO, applies many of the standards defined in the WTO Agreements to its conduct within the Customs Union. During his presentations, Vladimir focused on the practical changes that those interested in these markets must apply to their business processes in order to optimize their foreign trade transactions with Russia, Belarus, and the Customs Union.

The exhibition’s business programme encompassed several forums, conferences, and workshops with thematic round-table discussions on the current state of European markets, and prospects for collaboration with them, as well as business meetings with companies from the Czech Republic.
