EPAM Law to Support International Shipping Session at Maritime Congress 2026
From 27 to 29 May 2026, Vladivostok will host Maritime Congress - the Russian Far East, a major event for Russia’s maritime industry. EPAM Law will co-organise the session “International Shipping: Asset Management Strategy in the New Geopolitical Reality”, where Alexey Karchiomov, Partner, Head of Maritime Shipping and Transport Law, will moderate the discussion.
The Congress is one of the most significant events in the fields of maritime logistics, shipbuilding, port infrastructure and international transport cooperation. Its business programme will include strategic sessions, industry discussions and project presentations focused on the development of the maritime sector and the transport potential of the Russian Far East. Participants will discuss the industry’s most pressing challenges, explore modern technological solutions and consider promising areas for cooperation. Hosting the event in Vladivostok underscores the region’s strategic importance as one of Russia’s key transport and logistics hubs and as a gateway for engagement with countries across the Asia-Pacific region.
EPAM Law session, “International Shipping: Asset Management Strategy in the New Geopolitical Reality”, will provide a platform for developing practical tools to support fleet operations amid growing restrictions and increasingly complex international logistics. Participants will discuss risk management, insurance, legal issues, and ways to optimise vessel operating costs. The issues addressed during the session will help businesses identify approaches to adapting to limited access to services and spare parts, maintaining the resilience of shipping operations, and developing proposals for measures to support the industry and strengthen the country’s transport and economic independence.
