Mikhail Kazantsev to participate at the “Bankruptcy and Insolvency” conference

The “Bankruptcy and Insolvency” conference, organised by C5, will be held on January 28-29, 2010 at the Marriott Moscow Tverskaya Hotel. Mihkail Kazantsev, a senior lawyer at EPAM will participate in the event.

Despite the growth in energy prices, recovery of the stock market and the Government efforts, financial stress, defaults and bankruptcies in Russia will continue in 2010. As a result the changes to the outdated corporate bankruptcy procedures in Russia is one of the most debated issues of today.

The effectiveness of the bankruptcy law will determine the adjustments of competitors to new economic conditions and the way their relationship will be regulated at present and in the near future. Most of the issues were resolved following the changes made to the Bankruptcy Law in 2009, however certain issues still remain.

The Conference brings together the leading bankruptcy lawyers and consultants, insolvency officials, restructuring and anti-crisis experts, executives and directors and in-house counsel. In panel discussions and round table meetings the participants will share their experience and discuss the most pressing matters arising from the latest changes in bankruptcy and insolvency regulations.

Mihkail Kazantsev, a senior lawyer at EPAM, will give a presentation on the opinions surrounding the changes to the financial recovery process.
