Ilya Nikiforov to speak on Legal Services in Russia at ABA Teleconference

On June 24, 2013, the fourth meeting within the teleconference series entitled BRICs in the Wall? Offering Legal Services in Brazil, Russia, India and China will take place. Ilya Nikiforov, Managing Partner of the St. Petersburg Office of EPAM, will take part in Russia-focused meeting.

The series organized by the American Bar Association's Transnational Legal Practice Committee (TLP) aims to explore the rules and challenges non-local lawyers may face when offering legal services in the BRICs.

Ilya Nikiforov will give his overview based on real-life experience and related to providing legal advice in Russia.

He will focus on the following issues:

What steps are to be taken to offer legal services in Russia?
What challenges, if any, have been faced in “legitimizing” practices locally?
Practicing law in Russia: are there any restrictions?
