EPAM Law Firm to host the third meeting of the Minsk Legal Discussion Club

EPAM Law Firm to host on April 20, 2012 the third meeting of the Minsk Legal Discussion Club entitled “Law Firm Management: The Way to Efficiency”.

The main aim of the professional club foundation is the professional community’s intention to contribute to further effective development of the legal service market in Belarus.

Club meetings will be held in the format of open discussions. This format will enable the leading market players to take part in discussions regarding current market situation as well as looking to further develop strategy and solve the most urgent problems.

“Law Firm Management: The Way to Efficiency” will be opened by Dennis Turovets, Managing Partner of the Minsk Office of EPAM. Managing Partners and Partners of the leading law firms of Belarus are scheduled to speak at the event.

Issues for discussion:

  • Office structure: legal staff vs. administration. Is it worth redirecting all the administrative work to specialists?
  • Structure of legal practices and the role of a partner.
  • Rates formation as a consequence of business structuring.
  • Several offices: autonomy vs. integration.

The results of the discussions will be tabled at the final session of the meeting. There will also be a discussion regarding the issues surrounding conducting business in the transition period following the enforcement of the Law “On Advocacy and Advocate Activity in the Republic of Belarus”.
