Business Discussion "Antitrust Regulation in Times of Turbulence"

The introduction of various sanctions had a significant impact on entrepreneurial activity. On one hand, businesses are trying to quickly  adapt to the new conditions and on the other, they are trying to capitalise on new opportunities. Antimonopoly authorities pay closer attention to those making quick, hasty decisions and actions during these turbulent times.

Which of those are abuses and which are necessary measures? What measures can be taken by the antimonopoly authorities  to prevent violation of antitrust laws?

EPAM invites you to discuss these topics with the Firm’s experts during the business discussion "Antitrust Regulation in Times of Turbulence", on June 9, 2022, from 11:00 to 13:00.

The programme of the event includes*:

I. Practices (actions) of economic entities during the period of sanctions and their assessment by antimonopoly authorities:

• price increase; refusal of conclusion and termination of the contract by the dominant, termination of obligations; other actions;
• admissibility of actions and its assessment by the antimonopoly authorities during the period of sanctions;
• recommendations.

II. Measures taken by the FAS Russia (as well as at the legislative level) – recommendations:

• cancellation of scheduled inspections and an increase in unscheduled ones;
• changes in pricing practices;
• telecom operators’ pricing;
• new rules for deal approvals;
• permission for parallel imports in terms of a specific list of goods;
• changes in state procurements;
• markup limitation;
• warning issuing time frame reduction.
