Ilya Nikiforov to Participate in Annual ICC Arbitration Conference: ‘Russia as a Place for Dispute Resolution’

On 9 December 2015 the Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Russia) together with the Russian Arbitration Association (RAA), supported by the ICC Court, is to hold its annual arbitration conference ‘Russia as a Place for Dispute Resolution’. Ilya Nikiforov, the Managing Partner of EPAM will be the moderator for one of the conference sessions.

The conference programme will include in-depth interactive discussions of issues currently of particular professional interest for experts in alternative commercial dispute resolution:

• Reform of Russian legislation relating to courts of arbitration and international commercial arbitration
• The extension of arbitration agreements to non-signatories
• Arbitration in the financial sphere
• The role of the administrative secretary in the arbitration process

Ilya Nikiforov will act as moderator for the session ‘The Role of the Administrative Secretary in the Arbitration Process’ in which delegates will discuss the function and professional role of the administrative secretary in the arbitration process, with particular regard for the ICC International Court (Paris, France).

The conference is aimed at international arbitration practitioners, corporate counsel and litigators involved in disputes at international level, arbitrators and others working in international courts of arbitration, as well as the scientific and academic community.
