Matvey advises and represents clients in matters before arbitrazh (commercial) courts and courts of general jurisdiction at all levels. His core areas of expertise include major bankruptcy and commercial disputes, as well as disputes involving government authorities, real estate, and construction.

His experience includes:

• Representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings involving several debtors, including the registration of claims in the creditors’ register, challenging asset-stripping transactions, and participating in other related disputes;
• Representing a client in a dispute concerning the recovery of the market value of a share in a company and damages due to the loss of an opportunity to implement an investment project;
• Preparing a legal opinion analysing litigation risks associated with potential challenges to transactions involving the client in bankruptcy proceedings;
• Representing a client in a dispute regarding the recognition of real estate objects as unauthorised constructions and their subsequent demolition;
• Representing a major property developer in a dispute concerning the implementation of an investment project in Moscow;
• Preparing a legal opinion on the corporate restructuring of a client’s business.

Matvey earned his LL.B. in 2019 and his LL.M. in 2021 from the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL).

He is a qualified advocate and a member of the Moscow Bar Association.
