Maria advises on transactions involving high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and their personal assets. She contributes to the legal structuring of significant private and family wealth and businesses to ensure the most effective asset protection.
Maria specialises in advising clients on various aspects of private law, including establishing personal holding structures abroad and their ongoing administration, planning inheritance and family property arrangements within personal structures, facilitating the transfer of personal assets between foreign jurisdictions, and providing assistance with Russian and foreign family, inheritance, and migration laws. She has experience in major business restructuring projects, legal support for the sale of Russian assets by international companies, and compliance projects. Additionally, she successfully representes clients before the Russian Federal Tax Service.
Maria graduated with honours from both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes at the Faculty of Law at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
She has extensive experience in successfully participating in prestigious student moot court competitions, including:
- Winner of the Rosenberg International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition, supported by the Russian Academy for Foreign Trade and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Recipient of the MGIMO Legal Championship award in International Commercial Arbitration, supported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ MGIMO
- Prize-winner at the Russian Student Competition “International Commercial Arbitration Model,” hosted by Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy, where she was recognised as the winner in the category of ‘Best Legal Advisor’.
Maria is fluent in English and French.
