EPAM Attending the IX St. Petersburg International Legal Forum
On May 14-18, 2019, St Petersburg is hosting the IX St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. Partners and attorneys of EPAM are to moderate and speak at the business sessions of the Forum and its satellite events. The Firm is also to host an evening reception at the SPILF’s Legal Street.
The St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF) is a unique international event bringing together the leading legal experts. Since its founding in 2011, the Forum has reaffirmed its reputation as a symposium for the discussion of topical issues faced by the modern international legal community and draws attendees from dozens of countries.
The business agenda of SPILF 2019 offers an unprecedented number of discussion sessions, business breakfasts and auxiliary events while offering world-class speakers and stimulating discussions. Partners and counsels at EPAM are to speak at twelve events of the main program and at three satellite discussions.
On Wednesday, May 15, Counsel at the Firm, Executive Director at the Non-Profit Partnership for the Advancement of Corporate Law and member of the Federal Bar Council, Helen Avakyan, is to speak at the session Right on Information Distribution: Public vs Private (read more), and on Thursday, May 16, she is to attend the round-table discussion IP Turnover: from Analog to Digital (read more). Helen Avakyan will also hold a master class Electronic Justice – Issues of Transition to the Digital Era under the X Youth Legal Forum (read more), which is sponsored by the Firm. Partner Dmitry Stepanov is to speak at the session Reasonableness as a Principle of Civil Law, which will address key issues of understanding and applying of the “reasonableness” category and is scheduled on Wednesday 15 May. EPAM is hosting its evening reception at the Legal Street on Thursday 16. The guests of the Firm’s party, which in keeping with tradition will certainly be a most stylish affair, will be the first ones to enjoy MA restaurant and to see the performance of a foreign Eurovision national selection winner.
