New Academic Year Begins at EPAM Law’s Department at HSE University
On 21 November 2024, a new academic course titled «Contemporary Disputes: Current Issues in Legal Practice» will launch at the EPAM Law Department at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University).
The course will be taught jointly by university faculty and EPAM Law practitioners, including:Counsel Yulia Bobrova, Alexander Kiselev, Lev Vasilievykh, Denis Golubev, Oleg Buiko; and Senior Associates Anton Baturin, Alexandra Mednikova, and Yervand Nalbandyan.
Lecture Topics Include:
- Class actions in Russia: a risk for companies or an effective tool for collective redress?
- Subordination of creditors’ claims
- Subsidiary liability in bankruptcy cases
- Disputes over holding controlling persons liable in insolvency: evidentiary standards and defence strategies
- Bankruptcy of foreign companies under Russian jurisdiction: a new phase in insolvency practice
- Dispute resolution and protection of Russian investors’ interests under international economic sanctions
- Disputes involving foreign parties
